Nelson Denby was born and raised in Kelowna, BC and is currently finishing up his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Okanagan College this December. Nelson spent his 3rd year abroad in London, UK, where he learned valuable skills in finance and computer science at the University of Hertfordshire. He was an award winner at the Vancouver Fraser Institute Policy Seminar as well as received top strategic plan in the Western Canada Business Competition (WCBC). He currently is working on the Canadian Securities Course in order to get licensed in mutual funds and expand his knowledge of the investment landscape in Canada. It is Nelson’s goal to get the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within the next 5 years. Prior to joining IG, Nelson operated his own internet marketing agency in Kelowna called Eco-Rise Marketing, where he helped local business owners grow revenues and scale operations in a sustainable manner.

When Nelson isn’t at work or school he loves to partake in all that the Okanagan has to offer including boating, golfing, and craft beer! He has a real passion for financial consulting and is very excited to start his career in this rewarding field.
